Pacific Coast
Rugged and beautiful, Mexico’s Pacific Coast is a place where mountains slope elegantly into the sea. Nowhere is this more apparent than the city of Acapulco de Juárez, the famous seaport that’s connected with inland areas only by a mountain pass and a 2 km tunnel.
In seaside towns isolated by mountains, fish is as much a staple as one might expect. But along with shrimp and dorado (mahi-mahi), you might expect to find a dish like Green Pozole, a pork, chicken and hominy stew for both special occasions and every day.
