Cinco de Mayo
In Mexico, May 5 is not the celebration it is in the U.S. It is the day Mexicans honor the legendary Battle of Puebla. During this four-hour clash, General Ignacio Zaragoza led 4,500 heroic men in victory over the well-trained French. While not a federal holiday, it is observed in regions all across the country, with such dishes as Salsa Seasoned Beef Fajitas.
