Carne Asada Kebab

The marinade for Carne Asada Kebabs with just HERDEZ® Salsa Casera, lime juice, oregano, and olive oil is so deliciously tempting that you’ll be wanting to take a sip even before you pour it over the steak! This is a really fun to eat and easy to customize appetizer for the whole family. ¡Provecho!


  • 1 (16 ounce) jar

    HERDEZ® Salsa Casera Medium

  • 1 lime


  • 2 teaspoons

    dried oregano

  • 1 teaspoon

    olive oil

  • 1 pound

    thick cut steak, cut into 1-inch cubes

  • 2

    red and green bell peppers cut into 1-inch pieces

  • 8

    kebab skewers

Serves 4



  1. In medium bowl, stir together HERDEZ® Salsa Casera, lime juice, oregano and olive oil. Place meat, bell peppers and half of marinade in large re-sealable bag. Store remaining marinade in refrigerator.  Seal bag with skewers and refrigerate 4 to 24 hours.

  2. Heat grill to medium-high heat.

  3. Remove skewers from marinade and discard marinade. Thread meat and vegetables onto skewers, leaving small space between each item.

  4. Lightly oil grill grate. Grill skewers 10 minutes, turning as needed, or until meat is cooked through and vegetables are tender.

  5. Warm reserved marinade and serve alongside warm kebabs.
