Carne Asada with Oaxaca Cheese

Impress your guests with this luxurious yet simple-to-make filet mignon recipe topped with authentic ingredients: Oaxaca Cheese, HERDEZ® Guacamole Salsa and HERDEZ® Salsa Verde – the perfect marinade!

  1. Preheat grill.

  2. Lightly coat filets with grape seed oil and season with salt and pepper on each side.

  3. Grill steaks about 8 minutes per side (5 minutes per side for rare), basting with HERDEZ® Salsa Verde.

  4. Once seared, transfer to sauté pan with HERDEZ® Salsa Verde. Top with Oaxaca cheese and place in oven until cheese melts.

  5. Remove steaks from oven and transfer to plate. Spoon HERDEZ® Guacamole Salsa over filets.
