  • 1 8.25 oz

    jar DOÑA MARÍA® Mole Paste 

  • 3 1/2 cups

    chicken broth

  • 1 tablespoon

     + 2 teaspoons white vinegar

  • 1 tablespoon

    + 1 1/4 teaspoons DEL FUERTE® Tomato Sauce

  • 2 1/2 teaspoons

    white sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon

    cayenne pepper, ground 

  • 1/2 teaspoon


  • 3 lbs.

    chicken wings

  • soybean oil, for frying

Serves about 16 wings



  1. BBQ sauce:

    Into a deep saucepan add DOÑA MARÍA® Mole Paste, chicken broth, vinegar, DEL FUERTE® Tomato Sauce, sugar, cayenne pepper and salt; stir well. Bring sauce to boil and continue stirring 2 minutes. Remove from stove and set aside.

  2. Add enough oil to cover wings to deep skillet and place on high heat on stovetop.

  3. Place chicken wings onto large tray and season with salt to taste. Using kitchen tongs, carefully place wings in skillet and fry, turning once, 10 to 12 minutes or until golden and crispy.

  4. Preheat oven to 400.

  5. Place wings on baking sheet and brush well with sauce. Bake 8-10 minutes, remove from oven and serve.
