Grilled Steak Quesadillas with Guacamole Crema Sauce

With guacamole crema and a HERDEZ® Guacamole Salsa dip, this classic carne quesadilla might beat your favorite taqueria’s.


  • Guacamole Cream Sauce:
  • 1 (16 oz)

    jar HERDEZ® Guacamole Salsa

  • 1/3 cup

    Mexican Crema Sauce

  • Quesadillas:
  • 1 pound

    skirt steak

  • salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 (16 oz)

    package shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 8 (10-inch)

    flour tortillas

  1. Heat skillet over medium to high heat. 

  2. Season steak with salt and pepper. Cook 2 minutes per side. Once meat is cooked, cut into 1/2 inch pieces and set aside. 

  3. Place one tortilla in pan and add 1/4 cooked steak and 1/4 cheese on tortilla. Drizzle 2 to 3 tablespoons of guacamole mixture over tortilla; place second tortilla on top. Once cheese is melted, use spatula to carefully flip quesadilla. Cook 2 minutes until tortilla is crispy. Carefully transfer quesadilla to cutting board and let rest 2 minutes. Repeat with remaining tortillas and filling. 

  4. Serve with remaining HERDEZ® Guacamole Salsa for dipping!
