Pastel De Carne Molida a La Mexicana

When you’re looking for an easy dinner idea the whole family will love, you can’t beat this Mexican meatloaf recipe. The guacamole salsa keeps it tender and infuses a creamy, tangy taste.


  • 1 pound

    lean ground beef

  • 1/4 cup

    cooked white rice

  • 1 1/2 cup

    HERDEZ® Guacamole Salsa

  • 1/2 cup

    jalapeños, small diced

  • 1/2 cup

    Mexican style cheese blend, shredded

  • 1 large

    egg, lightly beaten

  • 1/4 teaspoon


  • 1/4 teaspoon

    black pepper

Serves 8



  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Combine beef and rice in large bowl.

  3. Add 1 cup HERDEZ® Guacamole Salsa, jalapeños, cheese, egg, salt and pepper. Mix well.

  4. Form mixture into loaf and place in lightly greased 9”x 13” loaf pan; cover with foil and bake 40 minutes.

  5. Remove foil and bake additional 15-20 minutes or until loaf is cooked through.

  6. Pour remaining HERDEZ® Guacamole Salsa on top before serving.
