Pizza a la Mexicana

Add “sabor” to your pizza with few ingredients and HERDEZ® Salsa Casera, for that touch of authenticity. Cut your pizza into wedges and serve as an appetizer or leave whole for the main dish.


  • 4 large

    flour tortillas

  • cooking spray

  • 2 cups

    shredded Mexican cheese blend

  • 8 ounces

    HERDEZ® Salsa Casera

  • ½

    red onion, finely sliced

  • 12 ounces

    seasoned cooked skirt steak, cut into small pieces

  • 8 ounces

    HERDEZ® Guacamole Salsa

  • 4 tablespoons

    cilantro, finely chopped

Serves 4



  1. Heat oven to 350º.

  2. Spray tortillas with cooking spray. Using hot grill, toast tortilla on each side.  Evenly spread cheeses, HERDEZ® Salsa Casera, onions and steak onto each tortilla.

  3. Bake in oven on wire rack for 5-7 minutes or until cheese melts; top with HERDEZ® Guacamole Salsa and Cilantro.
