Pizza Casera

Simply use tortillas, HERDEZ® Salsa Casera and HERDEZ® Salsa Verde with just ham and basil to craft a delicious after-school snack. Quick and easy, this recipe is a perfect for making a meal together for Día del Niño or simply putting a smile on your niño’s face, any day of the week.

  • 8

    flour tortillas

  • 3 cups

    Monterey Jack cheese, shredded

  • 1 cup

    HERDEZ® Salsa Verde

  • 1 cup

    HERDEZ® Salsa Casera

  • 1/2 cup

    deli ham, diced

  • 1 tablespoon

    Herbs de Provance

  • 3 tablespoons

    fresh basil, chopped

  • 4 tablespoons

    olive oil

Serves 4-6



  1. Preheat oven 400°F and grease 2 baking sheets.

  2. Place flour tortilla on baking sheet and sprinkle with 2 tablespoon cheese and 2 tablespoon HERDEZ® Salsa Verde, then top with another flour tortilla. To second tortilla add 3 tablespoon HERDEZ® Salsa Casera, 2 tablespoon cheese, 2 tablespoon ham, 1/4 tablespoon Herbs and 1 tablespoon olive oil. Repeat steps to assemble remaining 3 pizzas (2 per baking sheet.)

  3. Bake 13 to 15 minutes or until cheese is melted and edges are golden and crisp. Garnish with fresh basil, slice and serve.
