Wet Enchilada Style Steak Burrito

This enchilada style burrito is served “wet” with a deliciously creamy sauce made with HERDEZ® Guacamole Salsa! It’s the perfect Mexican comfort food for when you want something cheesy and filling.


  • 1 1/2 pounds

    skirt steak

  • 1/4 teaspoon

    ground black pepper

  • 1 tablespoon

    canola oil

  • 4 (8-inch)


  • 1 cup

    Mexican style cheese blend, shredded

  • 1 can

    black beans, drained and rinsed

  • Wet Sauce:
  • 1/2 cup

    HERDEZ® Guacamole Salsa 

  • 1/2 cup

    heavy cream

Serves 4



  1. Season steak with salt and pepper. Heat oil in large skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak and cook, stirring occasionally, until browned and cooked through, about 3-5 minutes.

  2. Combine HERDEZ® Guacamole Salsa with heavy whipping cream and heat until lightly simmers.

  3. To assemble, divide steak equally among tortillas and top with equal amounts of cheese and black beans.

  4. Roll tortilla into burrito, pour heated sauce over top and serve!
